6 High-End Products I Regret Buying

In this post, I would like to tell you about 6 high-end beauty products I regret buying. Let me start off by saying just because these did not work out for me, it doesn’t mean some people don’t love them or that you won’t love them! We all have our personal preferences when it comes to our products, and what some love, others might despise. I hope you find this post helpful, let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products!

High-end products I regret buying

Caudalie beauty elixir

I’ll start off with a product that has a ton of hype in the beauty world: the Caudalie Beauty Elixir ($49) This face mist was so raved about that I justified spending the money (I bought mine on Ebay, but it was still expensive). If this mist had a different scent, I might have liked it, but I’m just not a fan of this particular scent; it’s a like a mixture of a very herbal scent mixed with mint. If you like those two things, you may love it! It is suppose to be soothing, but I find that recently it has been burning my face a little. Even though I don’t care for this product, because of the price tag, i’m determined to finish it.

Josie Maran Argan Oil Cleansing Treatment

This is the Josie Maran Argan Oil Cleanser ($48) Okay, I LOVE everything else I have tried from Josie Maran. Like my favorite body butter (it’s heavenly) and her Light Argan Oilbut this I just could not get into. I love cleansing oils/balms but this one was just too greasy for me. My face felt even dirtier after washing it… I wanted to love this so bad! (this is when it pays to get samples first)

The Body Shop Vitamin C glow boosting moisturizer

The body shop isn’t necessarily high-end, but their products can tend to be a little pricey. This is their Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer ($34) and I only had to use this a couple of times before knowing I didn’t like it. The smell was okay, but A: it had little pieces of glitter in it (of course it’s going to be glow boosting), and B: it just did not moisturize my skin. I’ll stop there…

Caudalie gentle cleansing milk

Another Caudalie product… (I promise I really like the other stuff I’v tried). This is the Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk ($28) and this is another product I really wanted to like. It had mostly positive reviews on Sephora, so I thought I would give it a go. I didn’t like the scent at all, and it was such a strange texture.. Maybe i’m just not use to cleansing milks, but I just did not like it at all..

Purity Face Wash

This is the Purity Face Wash by Philosophy ($24) and the main reason why I do not like this is that I find that it dries my skin out. I now use this to clean things around the house randomly. I have heard really good things from other people, so maybe I’m just strange!

Chocolate Sun Cocoa Fleur TannerAnd fiiiiinally, the last product! (I hate being negative) This is the Chocolate Sun Tanning Spray in #2 ($42). The price itself is just kind of crazy, but most organic self-tanners are… I love the ingredients, but I didn’t love it because of the spray can. Unless you want an orange bathroom, I suggest putting newspaper down or something. I really would like to try the lotion version and the face version because I have heard nothing but good reviews!!

…and that is it for the high-end products I regret buying! If you have any requests for future posts, you can use this question form! Have a blessed day!

I was kinda dying to try that Vitamin C moisturizer, but good to know! I love glitter but not in my skincare. No thanks. And I love your blog!

Such a shame you spent all that money & you didn’t like the products! Thanks for the heads up though, I’ll know what not to buy!
