So first of all, when I retire, I would love to move to either Rhode Island, Vermont, or Massachusetts. After driving through some of the cities in these states I have fallen completely in love. Myself and some of my family decided to take a girls trip last minute, so we all met in Boston on Wednesday. We took a Segway tour of the city which was so fun, and then ate an amazing dinner at Italian Express Pizza. If you’re in the area, you HAVE to try this Italian place. The chicken carbonara pasta and the fettuccini Alfredo were the clear winners. Also, the owner is extremely nice.
We spent most of the day, yesterday, driving through Massachusetts, but ended up in Newport, Rhode Island. We stopped and took some pictures in a beautiful park filled with red and orange trees, then went to The Breakers Mansion. If you’re in Newport, you have to visit this elaborate mansion! After we were done with the tour of the mansion, we were ready for some food, so we decided to stop at Anthony’s Seafood, which had some of the best clam chowder that I had ever tasted. Also, they’re Lobster roll was very good! After we ate, we then went and got some hot drinks (try the chestnut praline latte with one extra pump of syrup at Starbucks if you haven’t yet) since it was so chilly and then headed to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
I apologize that the bottom two pictures turned out kind of blurry, I got a new lens so I’m trying to figure it out. 😉 I wore this Loft long-sleeve tee (which is my favorite and comes in several colors) with this adorable plaid scarf. HERE‘s one that is basically identical and cheaper. 🙂 My denim skirt is the perfect length to wear with these Tory Burch boots and is so comfortable! I’m in love. The skirt originally had a front split, but I had my lovely Mother sew it up. This is definitely my new favorite denim skirt.
